Coaching Staff

 

Head Coach - Kate Hardt

Coach Kate Hardt was a competitive swimmer for more than 15 years in Carson City and Reno, Nevada, as well as in Minnesota as a collegiate swimmer.  She coached and taught swimming lessons for the last seven of those years.  She concluded her Division 1 collegiate swimming career at the University of Minnesota where she was a Big Ten champion, a varsity record holder, an Academic All-American, an All-American Honorable Mention, and the winner of the Dorothy L. Sheppard award.  She became the senior group coach for Richfield Swim Club in the fall of 2006.  She stayed with RSC for one year before she moved to Stockton, California, where she was the Head Age Group Coach for Tiger Aquatics as well as the volunteer assistant coach for the men's and women's teams at the University of the Pacific.  With the retirement of RSC's Head Coach Marc Hamren in March 2008, Kate returned to RSC and has been the head coach since then.

 

Head Age Group Coach - Natalie Sinkler

Coach Natalie Sinkler has 12 years of competitive swimming experience.  She graduated from Minnetonka High School where she swam on the high school team and the Minnetonka Swim Club.  After graduating she went on to swim at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul.  She was captain of both her high school and college teams.  Natalie graduated in 2007 with a major in psychology and a minor in coaching.  She also has and 2 years coaching experience with the Minnetonka Swim Club.  While coaching with Minnetonka she worked with the beginner swimmers and assisted with the senior and masters swimmers.

 

Age Group Coach - Katie Millerbernd

Coach Katie Millerbernd grew up in Buffalo Minnesota . She was involved in swimming and softball throughout middle school and high school.   She graduated from Buffalo High School in 2006. Katie is currently a junior at the College of St. Catherine and continues to swim for the Wildcats. Her main events are the 500 free and 200 free. She is majoring in political science and justice and peace studies and plans on attending law school one day. Besides swimming Katie is also the junior representative for the student government at St. Kate’s. In her free time she enjoys cooking, being outside, running, and biking.  

 

Novice Coach - Jenny Kordon

Coach Jenny Kordon grew up in Florida where she swam for over 10 years.  Originally from North St. Paul Jenny returned “home” to swim at the University of Minnesota where she specialized in butterfly and distance free. (She followed in her grandfather’s footstep, who was a Golden Gopher football player.)  After college she coached at the University of Wisconsin- River Falls for one year.  She then went back to graduate school and helped coach at Macalester College and the University of Minnesota.  Jenny is currently the Aquatic Specialist for the City of Brooklyn Park.  In the fall of 2007, she started coaching as a volunteer with Richfield Swim Club when her son Max was swimming.  She figured that she was at the pool anyway, she might as well help…..She returns again this fall with the Novice group- the age group she loves to work with!
